Measuring Rural Audiences: The Case of WMMT

NFCB received a grant in 2008 from the Social Science Research Council to conduct a study of the audience for WMMT in Whitesburg, Kentucky. The SSRC has an academic perspective and imposes that perspective on practical research.  Dr. Graciela Orozco led the project; the survey questions were designed by NFCB in cooperation with WMMT and Graciela.  This is Graciela’s final report to the SSRC on the research and it’s implications for WMMT and rural radio in general.
