35th Annual Conference

The 35th Annual Community Radio Conference
June 9-12, 2010
|  St. Paul, Minnesota

The 2010 NFCB Community Radio Conference was an overwhelming success!  Many of you walked away with new friends and inspirational ideas to bring home to your communities. The dynamic voices of our guest speakers – Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, Minnesota U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, Minnesota State Senator Richard Cohen, FCC Commissioner Mignon Clyburn, and television and radio host Amy Goodman – encouraged us to keep fighting the good fight. We introduced our new President and CEO, Maxie C Jackson III, and honored our past president, Carol Pierson.  We rolled out possible future NFCB projects and put a stake in the ground on the relevance of our organization in these rapidly changing times of media and technology.

With all that in mind, we are making several of the speeches, especially the keynote given by Maxie, available to you below in various mediums.  More material is also on hand on the following page, including recordings of some of the workshops and panels, PowerPoint presentations, and handouts.

If you missed this year’s conference, or even if you attended but need the information reinforced, we hope you find the following useful and that it sparks conversations among other staff at your station, in your world.

Our gratitude to the speakers, workshop leaders, and all the participants of this conference, is boundless.
